It is not the type of strength you would expect from most 17-year-olds, but this is no ordinary teen. Fascinated by the World's Strongest Man Competitions (not to be mistaken with the World's Strongest Vagina event) when he was younger, Chris took up weightlifting and along with healthy eating, he has transformed himself into more of a beast than a man (strength wise, of course).
To display his strength, he lifted two tires of his friend's 1.3 ton Renault Clio off the ground, one of his many "party tricks" as he describes it. At 6-feet and 276 lbs., Chris trains five times a week and eats 5,000 calories a day. That is sad news for his parents, whose average weekly shopping bill is usually around £140, forcing them to sacrifice holidays as a result.
Chris, of course, has put all those hours and money spent to good use, winning the strongest schoolboy title about a month ago by flipping a 784 lb tire in the air, and winning a 252 lb keg pull race, among other things.
Sometimes the good stories of weightlifting get burried beneath all the steroid allegations, but when people like Chris, or Dana Shealy, are brought to the public's attention, you can't help but feel that it is out duty to give them the respect they truely deserve.
